May 03 Suhail Dar In a shocking incident, The father of a two year old boy has allegedly slit the throat of his son in the Lisser area of Kokernag in South Kashmir's Islamabad (anantnag) district. The mother of the two year old boy identified as Usman Gowhar speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that Gowhar Ahmed Dar, the father of the child has slit his throat. If Burqa is Banned, Then Ghunghat too Should Go, Says Javed Akhtar

May 03 Veteran lyricist and poet from India, Javed Akhtar on has said if a ban was imposed on Burqa, a ban should be imposed on Ghoongat (covering of the face by Hindu women) too. Javed said that he was not averse to enacting a law banning the burqa if it was accompanied with a similar action against the 'ghunghat' system prevalent among women in Rajasthan. May 03 Three Militants have been killed during an encounter between militants and Government forces at Adkhara area of Imam Sahab in South Kashmir’s Shopian District. Officials told The Kashmiriyat that on Thursday morning 34 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about Militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the area around 3:30 am. The cordon continued for nearly three hours, during which the hiding Militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter. May 03 Pakistan has issued an official order to freeze the assets of and impose a travel ban on JeM chief Masood Azhar after the UN declared him a “global terrorist”.
