At Least 20 Indian Soldiers Killed in Face-off With China

Amid the ongoing tensions between the Indian and Chinese Army, on Monday night twenty soldiers have been killed, ANI Reported. During the process of de-escalation underway in the Galwan Valley near the Line of Actual control in Ladkah, a violent face-off took place yesterday night with three casualties reported earlier, with 34 soldiers missing. Now the number of casualties being reported is 20, however it is being said that the number of casualties many rise. Earlier on the Indian Side, three soldiers including a senior Military official of colonel rank were killed, however, there are no reports from the Chinese side regarding the incident. A mother and her daughter drowned in the Jhelum river in Marhama area of Bijbehara in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) district on Tuesday afternoon. The Station House officer of Bijbehara confirming the incident to The Kashmiriyat said the mother identified as Saleema Banoo, 40 and her daughter, Nighat aged 12 drowned in the river on Tuesday afternoon in the Jafarpora in Marhama area. "As soon as we received the information, we rushed to the spot and started a massive rescue operation, which is still underway," the Police official said. He said that the dead body of the mother has been found, however the body of Nighat is still missing.
