Three Militants have been killed during an encounter that started between militants and Government forces at Turkwangam area of Kashmir’s Shopian District.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Tuesday morning 44 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about Militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the area.
The cordon continued for nearly two to three hours, during which the hiding Militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter.
All the entry and exit points of the area have been sealed by the Forces.

The Kashmiriyat was informed by Sources that three militants have been killed in the exchange of gunfire, the searches are still on.
This, pertinently is the 5th encounter in Shopian in last 10 days, 19 Militants have been killed during these encounters.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat massive exchange of fire is being heard at the site of the encounter.
Mobile internet services are likely to be suspended in this South Kashmir District.
