The Jammu Kashmir police Tuesday said that the missing PhD scholar from Bemina area of Srinagar has joined Hibul Mujahideen outfit and if his family members would bring him back, he won’t be arrested. The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar said: “Yes, as per our reports, Hilal Ahmed, a Ph.D scholar from Bemina area of Srinagar has joined Hizbul Mujahideen outfit. Saudi Ministry Makes ‘Important Announcement’ on Hajj 2020

Saudi Arabia on Monday said that because of the coronavirus, only limited numbers of people will be allowed to perform the annual Hajj pilgrimage. The Saudi kingdom’s Ministry of Hajj stated that only people from various nationalities already residing in the country along with the Saudi nationals will be allowed to perform the pilgrimage. The Government, however, has not specified the number of people who would be permitted to take part in the annual pilgrimage. Hajj, set to begin at the end of July, has never been cancelled in the nearly 90 years. The government made such the decision keeping in mind Saudi Arabia having one of the highest rates of coronavirus infections in the Middle East, with more than 161,000 total confirmed cases and 1,307 deaths.

The organization reinstated its commitment to finding a peaceful settlement to the Kashmir dispute and urged India to halt security operations. The foreign ministers of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia took part in an online meeting to renew their continued support for the people of Jammu Kashmir. An encounter has erupted between militants and Government forces in Lolab area of Kupwara district in Jammu Kashmir. Government Forces in large numbers have been deployed to cordon off the area, This is the second encounter which has taken place in the Valley today. The encounter began after a joint team of Jammu Kashmir Police, 28RR of Indian and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Lolab forests, The search operation soon turned into an encounter. Te death toll due to the deadly Coronavirus has mounted to 87 in Jammu Kashmir as two more patients have died in Kashmir in last 12 hours, officials said. The two patients who died due to COVID in last 12 hours include 85-year-old man from Kulgam and 58-year-old woman from Natipora area of Srinagar. Dr Farooq Jan, Medical Superintendent, SKIMS, said that an elderly man from Kulgam died at SKIMS on Tuesday morning. He said patient was admitted to the hospital on June 05 and was suffering from heart ailments besides hypertension. Two Militants and one  CRPF man have been killed in a fierce encounter that started Tuesday morning between Government Forces and Local Militants in Bandzoo area of Pulwama. An official speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that a group of Militants hiding in the area opened fire upon a joint party of Government Forces in the area which resulted in an encounter. Earlier, he said, forces had, based on a credible input about Militant movement in the area, launched a cordon and search operation in the area.
