Rayees Shah/ Shah Basit On July 15, The Kashmiriyat reported that the dead body of an unidentified female body was recovered from in Nallah Sindh near Kangan belt in Kashmir’s Ganderbal district. The lady who had been missing since July 11, was found four days later, when her deafd body was found floating on the river, Nallah e Sindh. Mohammed Mufeez The Municipal committee (MC) in Tral continued the drive to sanitize the public areas on Thursday in Tral belt of Pulwama district in Kashmir, in an attempt to protect people from the ongoing global pandemic. Under the supervision of Assistant Deputy Commissioner of Tral, MC president and Executive officer , Rakesh Pandita and Manzoor Ahmad Khan respectively, the sanitization drive was carried out at Main Market areas from Bus stand  to Muqdam Mohallah, footpaths and ADC office Tral. The Nallahs and the drains were also cleaned in this drive, which has been ongoing since the global pandemic broke out. On Wednesday, Mike Rayan, a World Health Organization (WHO) expert, said first COVID-19 vaccine use cannot be expected until early 2021 even as researchers are making “good progress” in developing the vaccines and with several vaccines now in phase 3 trials. “Realistically it is going to be the first part of next year before we start seeing people getting vaccinated,” Mike said a public event on social media. On Wednesday, Airstrikes by Afghan forces in eastern Afganistan killed 45 civilians and Taliban members, local officials said. The governor of Adraskan District in the eastern Afghanistan province of Heart, Ali Ahmad Faqir Yar, reported at least 8 civilians among the dead. “Forty-five people had been killed so far in airstrikes by security forces in the Kham Ziarat area, Taliban were among those killed,” Ahmad said. It is unknown how many of the remaining 37 causalities were civilians and how many were Taliban members. On Wednesday, a Zimbabwean journalist and a rights activist were charged in court over accusations of encouraging public violence before next week’s planned anti-government protests. The arrests consist of Jacob Ngarivhume, an activist, as well as Hopewell Chin’ono who is a freelance journalist and government critic. Both were arrested at their homes on Monday. Ngarivhume and Chin’ono had supported the July 31 protest against government corruption. State prosecutors in the court claim the two used their Twitter accounts to ignite public violence by motivating Zimbabweans to come out to protest. Mubashir Naik BSF constable Sumit Kumar, who was arrested earlier this month, has been dismissed for his alleged involvement in smuggling activities and connivance with anti-national elements. Sumit kumar, resident of Magar Mudian village in Punjab’s Gurdaspur district was described as the kingpin of Pakistan-sponsored drugs and illegal arms smuggling racket by Punjab Police. Kumar was arrested by the BSF on information of Punjab Police on July 11 from his place of duty from Indo-Pak international border and a 9mm pistol, two magazines, 80 rounds of 9mm ammunition, two rounds of 12 bore ammunition were recovered from his possession.
