Sheikh Nadeem The festival of Janamashtami, commemorating the birth anniversary of Krishna, was celebrated with religious fervor and gaiety in Jammu and Kashmir. A Government order was issued that ordered the devotees to maintain social distancing, wearing of masks and other SOP's. A joint operation was launched late night by Kupwara police, Indian Army 28 RR, and CRPF 162 batallion after receiving a credible input regarding cross Line of Control (LOC) smuggling of weapons.
