Sajad Hameed A trooper of Border Security Force (BSF) was injured during a bear attack in Budgam district of Central Kashmir on Sunday. Officials told The Kashmiriyat that Ranjeet Singh who was posted as a guard at the residence of the District Magistrate (DM) in Budgan district of Jammu Kashmir was attacked by a bear during the wee hours of Sunday morning. He was injured in the attack after which he was shifted to the nearby hospital for treatment. "The attending doctors have described his condition as stable", officials told The Kashmiriyat.

Shabir Khan A 29-year-old youth on Sunday died due to allegedly drug overdose in north Kashmir's Sopore town. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the 29-year-old (name withheld)a resident of Yatoo Mohalla area of Nowpora Sopore who recently was discharged from rehabilitation centre was found at model town Sopore. They said that the youth died due to allegedly drug overdose, however police said investigation in this regard has set into motion. A police officer told media that police in verifying in all angles.
