Jammu Kashmir administration is all set to preserve the Six Mughal gardens in a bid to em-panel them because the United Nations Academic, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) mandated world heritage websites. A gathering was held not too long ago to formulate a plan for renovation and restoration of the Mughal gardens. Allahabad HC Drops NSA Charges Against Dr Kafeel Khan

Dr Kafeel Khan was arrested in January for delivering a speech on the Citizenship (Amendment) Act at Aligarh Muslim University on December 10, 2019. The NSA was invoked against Khan on February 13, 2020. A huge relief for Dr Kafeel Khan, after the Allahabad High Court on Tuesday, ordered his immediate release and dropped the National Security Act, 1980 (NSA) charges against him. The Allahabad High Court has directed the government to immediately release him. According to an official release by the Japanese embassy, Japan has extended the COVID-19 crisis response emergency support loan, which provides the necessary funds for India's fight against coronavirus. On Monday, Japan said that it will extend emergency loan support of up to INR 3,500 crore (50 billion Yen) towards India's response to the Covid-19 pandemic that includes implementation of health and medical policy. 50-year-old woman jumps into river Jhelum at Khankahe-Moula in Srinagar

A 50-year-old woman tried to commit suicide by jumping into river Jehlum at Khankahe-e-Moula area of Srinagar on Tuesday morning. Though she was rescued by local people at Nawakadal, she died on the way to the hospital, the official sources said.   The identity of the woman is yet to be ascertained. She was fished out by locals and police at Nawa Kadal. Later, she was taken to the SMHS hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.  A case has been registered by the police and the investigations are underway.

The Jammu Kashmir government on Monday declared all districts in Kashmir except Bandipora as ‘Red Zones’ in view of the spike in the COVID-19 cases. The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday ordered the immediate release and the dropping of stringent National Security Act (NSA) charges against Dr. Kafeel Khan. The UP Government led by Yogi Adityanath had invoked NSA earlier this year over an alleged inflammatory speech by him against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
