The Jammu Kashmir High administration recently declared the Roshni Land act (2001) implemented by the then Jammu Kashmir Government as null and void. Days after the High court order, the administration published the names of various political personalities including Farooq Abdullah and accused them to have occupied land in Jammu under the garb of the Roshni act, in what has been called scam now. On Friday, Voting is being held in 33 seats for the third phase of the District Development Council (DDC) election in Jammu Kashmir. Out of these, 16 seats are in Kashmir and 17 seats are in the Jammu division. In this phase, voters will use their voting power to decide the future of 305 candidates.
