Days after the High court order, the administration published the names of various political personalities including Farooq Abdullah and accused them to have occupied land in Jammu under the garb of the Roshni act, in what has been called scam now. Salman Shah Unknown gunmen fired upon one District development council candidate during the 3rd phase of DDC elections in Jammu Kashmir in Anantnag district of South Kashmir. On Friday, Voting is being held in 33 seats for the third phase of the District Development Council (DDC) election in Jammu Kashmir. Out of these, 16 seats are in Kashmir and 17 seats are in the Jammu division. In this phase, voters will use their voting power to decide the future of 305 candidates. A total of 305 candidates are in the fray for this phase, which includes 53 female candidates. Pertinently, the first phase elections were held on 28 November, in which 51.76 people exercised their franchise.
