Representatives of Farmers Refuse Lunch From the Government, Say ‘We have brought our own food’

The Representatives of the farmers' organisations who are engaged in a meeting with the government over the recent Farm bills brought in by the Modi Led Government on Thursday, refused to have lunch from the Government. As per a report by NDTV, the farm leaders, at the lunch break said "no" to the food offered by the government and stuck to the langar, which was brought in by a waiting van. "They offered us food, we denied and are having our langar, which we have brought with us," a farmer leader said. The Jammu Kashmir Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested a person along with illicit liquor in the Bijbehara area of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) district. As per a Police communique, the Police raided the shop of Mohammad Syed Shah who is a resident of Pamposh Mohalla Bijbehra near Sumo stand Bijbehra and seized a huge quantity of illicit liquor from his possession. The accused was detained along with 200 Whiskey bottles and 36 Tins Kingfisher Strong Beer (500ml). A Case FIR 247/2020 U/S 50 Excise Act has been registered in this regard.

Mir Irfan An army soldier shot himself with his service rifle in the Shopian district of South Kashmir. An official told The Kashmiriyat that an Army official said that Chandra Patil, a head constable posted at Zavoora Manloo area of Shopian shot himself with his service rifle on Thursday morning. The official said that an FIR has been registered into the incident. He said that an investigation has been launched to probe the cause of the death.

A Pan Kashmir Body Building Competition  ‘SHER-E-KASHMIR’ was conducted by the 20 RR of Indian Army at APS, BB Cantt on Wednesday. As per an official press release issued to The Kashmiriyat, the event was the final round of many preliminary competitions that were conducted across the Kashmir valley.
