Representatives of Farmers Refuse Lunch From the Government, Say ‘We have brought our own food’

The Representatives of the farmers’ organisations who are engaged in a meeting with the government over the recent Farm bills brought in by the Modi Led Government on Thursday, refused to have lunch from the Government.

As per a report by NDTV, the farm leaders, at the lunch break said “no” to the food offered by the government and stuck to the langar, which was brought in by a waiting van.

“They offered us food, we denied and are having our langar, which we have brought with us,” a farmer leader said. “We are not accepting food or tea offered by the government,” a farmer leader was quoted by NDTV as saying.

A video from inside Vigyan Bhawan, the place where the meeting is being held, shows the representatives of farmers assembled at a long table for a hurried lunch. Many sat on the ground in a quiet corner.
