Amid Growing Islamophobia, Mosque Faces Arson Attack in France

In a clear case of Islamophobia, An arson attack was carried out on a mosque, in France’s southeastern Albertville city, on Monday night, the mosque said in a statement, on social media. According to the statement, the entrance of the mosque, run by the Milli Gorus Islamic Confederation (CIMG), was damaged in the attack although there were no injuries. A person was seen on security cameras setting the door of the mosque on fire, it said, adding that the police were informed and a complaint was filed. The statement said an investigation was launched into the incident and hoped that the perpetrators would be brought to justice. Three newly recruited militants affiliated with militant organization Al-Badr were killed in an encounter at Shopian district of South Kashmir on Thursday. A senior police officer told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that three newly recruited militants were killed in Kanigam village in Imam Sahib belt of Shopian while as one militant surrendered before forces. Covid-19- Positive cases increase Manifold in Jammu Kashmir as 4926 Test Positive, 52 Die

The Jammu Kashmir on Thursday witnessed 52 deaths due to Covid-19 while 4,926 fresh positive cases, highest since pandemic were also reported, taking the number of total active cases in the UT to 41,666. With 52 more deaths the death toll has reached to 2,562 and the active cases continue to increase and the recovery rate decreases with each passing day. 4,926 fresh positive cases reported on Wednesday pushed the tally of positive cases to 201,511. 18-year-old Boy Hangs Self in Ganderbal

Rayees Shah/ Shah Basit An 18 old boy ended his life by hanging himself at his home, in Rezan area of Gund of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, on Thursday. An Official told The Kashmiriyat that the18 Year old boy, a resident of Rezan Gund hung himself at his home. He was immediately rushed to PHC Kullan, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Meer Irfan Three militants have been killed while the fourth one surrendered during an encounter that raged between government forces and militants at Kanigam area of South Kashmir's Shopian district on Thursday.
