Two Rockets Fired Near US Embassy in Baghdad’s Green Zone

On Thursday morning, two rockets targeted Baghdad's Green Zone, as per an Iraqi security source's information to AFP. The source claimed that the attack caused no damage or casualties. The attack comes after the conclusion of days of strategic talks between Iraq and the US. The US president, Joe Biden had announced an end to the US combat troops' presence in the region. Although, no changes to the troop numbers were announced. And it is still not clear if there will be any reduction in the US soldiers currently in Iraq, which are 2,500 currently. J&K authorities cancelled over 30,000 fake ration cards in three years

Authorities in Jammu Kashmir deleted over 30,000 fake ration cards in past three years after they initiated the process to link cards with Aadhaar. In a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha, the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti said that 92 per cent of all ration cards had already been verified across the country by way of seeding with Aadhaar numbers. Further, she added that seeding of ration cards ensure the uniqueness of beneficiaries in the Public Distribution System (PDS). In the year 2018, only 3,428 bogus or fake ration cards were detected.
