Baramulla police has claimed to have arrested three gamblers in Kunzer area of North Kashmir's Baramulla district, on Wednesday. In a statement issued to The Kashmiriyat, police spokesperson said "Baramulla Police while on routine patrolling at Village Lolpora jurisdiction of Police Station Kunzer, spotted gamblers and simultaneously arrested all three gamblers namely 1. Suhail Ahmad Rather S/O Ab Khalid Rather R/O Waripora Bangil 2. Zahoor Ahmad Ganie S/O Ab Rehman Ganie 3. Mehraj-ud-Din Ganie S/O Gh Nabi Ganie both residents of Hardaboora from the spot". "Playing cards along with stake money of ₹12,500/- were recovered from them. Case under sections of 13 Gambling Act registered in Police Station Kunzer and investigation set into motion," the statement said.

A residential house and a mosque were partially damaged after a cloudburst hit upper reaches of Aloosa village in North Kashmir's Bandipora district on Wednesday, triggering flash floods. Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the cloudburst triggered flash floods in Aloosa, resulting in partial damage to a residential house, mosque, while link roads were inundated. They said that, however, there was no loss of life reported in the incident, while a foot bridge in the area was washed away.
