In 2022, Kashmir records worst Class 12th result of past 3 years

In the recently announced annual regular results of 12th standard, Kashmir division has recorded the worst results after a gap of two years. This year Kashmir division witnessed an overall pass percentage of 74.92 percent. The news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) has learnt that in the year 2008, the pass percentage of 12th standard was 53.50 percent in which 43,183 students appeared in the examination out of which 23,102 candidates qualified the examination. Similarly, in the year 2009, the results of the class was declared on January 21 2010 in which 46,367 students had appeared for the examination out of which 25,546 candidates passed the examination and the overall results of the session was recorded with 55.10 percent. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Wednesday said that 6000 transit accommodations at an estimated cost of Rs 920 crore will come up in Kashmir while the land has been restored to Kashmiri migrant applicants in the last five years. A large chunk of dry grass and bushes caught fire in Brari-Nambal area of Babademb Srinagar. An official from Fire and Emergency Services told news agency Kashmir News Trust that fire was put out after hard efforts. He said that a large chunk of Nambal had caught fire damaging dry grass and bushes. Local sources said that fire spread to the grass after flames emanated from the garbage dumped by people in the Nambal area. “Fire spread quickly and damaged grass and other stuff spreading in a vast patch of the Nambal,” they said.
