The government on Friday removed a female teacher from the service after her unauthorized absence. The teacher in question is Heena Ramzan, who had been posted at Boys Middle School Meemandar Shopian. On the recommendations of Chief Education Officer, Shopian, the Designated Committee reviewed the ‘unauthorized absence case’ of the said teacher and summarily ordered her removal from the government service. Five houses gutted in Jamia Qadeem in Sopore

At least five residential houses were gutted in a fire mishap here at Jamia Qadeem locality of Sopore in north Kashmir's Baramulla district on Friday evening. Woman dies in Quimoh road accident, daughter injured critically
