A minor girl was raped by her brother-in-law in Srinagar district of central Kashmir after which Jammu Kashmir Police has arrested the 21-year-old accused. An official told The Kashmiriyat that the incident was reported three days ago from Barzulla after the family of a twelve year old girl complained to the Police that the teenager was raped by Zaid Feroz of old Barzulla in Srinagar. “One Accused namely Zaid Feroz of old barzulla, Srinagar aged 22 years arrested for raping a 12-year-old child (name withheld). The accused is close relative of victim girl child," Srinagar Police had said on July 5, 2023. A youth was arrested for giving online threats to women and harassing them constantly. An official said that a woman approached Police with evidence that a Srinagar resident was harassing females online and giving rape threats to them. On 06 July, Jammu Kashmir Police claimed to have arrested a man in Srinagar for raping a minor girl who was merely 15-years-old.
