Shah Basit A teenager died in a road accident in the Ganderbal district of central Kashmir. Officials told The Kashmiriyat that a boy identified as Huzailullaha, son of Mohammed Shafi Ganie was coming out of the mosque when a Sumo vehicle bearing registration number JK05B-2966 hit him, causing critical wounds to him. From the spot of the accident at Kurhama bypass, the 12th class student was shifted to SKIMS Soura, where he was declared brought dead. Meanwhile, police have filed a case in this regard.

An unknown woman allegedly committed suicide by jumping into the river Jhelum in central Kashmir's Srinagar district on Sunday. Reports reaching News Agency Kashmir Scroll said that a lady jumped into the river Jehlum from a cement bridge in the Noorbagh area of Srinagar this afternoon. Soon after the incident, teams of police from SDRF reached the spot and launched a rescue operation to retrieve the body.
