In a shocking incident, the Srinagar Police has arrested a twenty-two year old boy for allegedly raping a minor girl.
According to the Police, a 12-year-old girl was allegedly raped by Zaid Feroz of old Barzulla who is said to be the close relative of girl.
Srinagar Police in a tweet as per news agency CNI said, “One Accused namely Zaid Feroz of old barzulla, Srinagar aged 22 years arrested for raping a 12 year old child (name withheld). The accused is close relative of victim girl child.”
An FIR no 56/2023 under sections 5, 6 of POCSO Act has been registered at Sadar police station and further investigation has been initiated.
