22-Year-Old Football Player from Sopore Kashmir Goes Missing

The family of a 22-year old young boy from Sopore in Kashmir’s Baramulla District have sought the help of public in finding their missing son.

Speaking to The Kashmiriyat the family of Amir Siraj who is a resident of Sopore area in this North Kashmir district, said that he has been missing since June 24.

“Amir went missing on June 24 from his uncle’s home in Adipora, Sopore after he left the house to play a football match,” one of his family member told The Kashmiriyat, adding that, the family has been trying to call him constantly, but his phone has been on switched off mode since.

On Thursday, the family of the missing youth have pleaded their son to return home at earliest.

“If he is with any militant outfit, we request them to please send him back to his home. He is very innocent. We don’t have any support except him,” Ahmed said, adding that they have also registered a missing report at the Police Station Sopore.

A Police official said that the family has registered a missing complaint at the Police station and the Police has started searching for Aamir.
