25000 Crore Land Scam in Jammu Kashmir- Many Politicians, Officials Under CBI Scanner

Many leaders, government employees and police officers have come under target of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in Jammu Kashmir, these people are accused of scam in government land worth Rs 25,000 crore.

The Jammu Kashmir High Court has issued a CBI inquiry order in the matter. It is being told that this may be the biggest land scam in Jammu Kashmir.

The court has commented on the case, calling it ‘An act of shame and harm to the national interest.’ Chief Justice Geeta Mittal and Justice Rajesh Bindal have given important instructions to the CBI Director regarding this.

The court has asked to appoint a team of officers of Higher rank of Police Officer (SP) to investigate the case, along with this, instructions have been given for intensive investigation by registering a case.

The High Court gave these orders on Friday, but its copy was made available on Sunday, the court has found the fault of government employees at first sight.

Encroachment of government land has been allowed to private people on a large scale at the cost of a penny. The High Court on Friday declared the controversial lights act as ‘unconstitutional’.

It was enacted by the State Legislature in November 2001 and implemented in March 2002.

Under this, it was envisaged to collect funds for hydro-power generation in Jammu Kashmir, in which there was a plan to deposit Rs 25,000 crore by transferring the land of the state to private ownership.
