Militancy in Kashmir has been under massive crackdown since 2016, post the killing of Militant commander Burhan Wani resulted in escalation of recruitment of Local youth into Militant groups.
A Data maintained by The Kashmiriyat team, despite the arrest of our founding editors, Qazi Shibli– reveals that 2020 has been the fourth consecutive year of bloodshed and a unending cycle of violence in the Kashmir valley.
The Indian Home Ministry in March, this year said that altogether 79 “terrorist incidents” have taken place in Jammu Kashmir during the period from August 5, 2019 to March 10, 2020.
