3 Militants Killed in Anantnag Encounter

Three Militant have been killed in an ongoing encounter that erupted between militants and government forces in Ranipora area of South kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) district on Monday morning.

Officials told The Kashmiriyat that three militants have been killed so far in the heated exchange of fire that erupted on Monday morning.

He added that the search operation at the site of the encounter is still on.

Earlier another official had said that that a joint team Government Forces including Jammu Kashmir Police, Army’s 19 RR and CRPF had launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.

During the CASO, the hiding militants fired upon them, the forces retaliated, resulting in an encounter

The encounter in Anantnag pertinently is the 13th encounter in that has raged in South kashmir in month of June, 37 militants have been Killed during these encounters.
