A 40-year-old man died after being hit by a speedy vehicle in Sopore area of North Kashmir on Saturday.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that a speedy vehicle hit a man near Amargrah area of Sopore and fled from the spot, injuring the man critically.
The ma identified s Nizam u Din Krankoo son of Ghulam Qadir Krankoo, a resident of Umerabad in Amargrah Sopore was rushed to the sub-district hospital Sopore, where he was declared brought dead on arrival.
The Jamu Kashmir Police started a manhant to nab the accused and within two hours arrested the driver, also his vehicle was siezed.
