400 apple cartons stolen from Shopian farmer’s house

Nearly four hundred boxes of apples were stolen from the house of an apple farmer in the Shopian district.

Speaking to The Kashmiriyat locals said that unknown burglars barged into the house of one Ghulam Hassan Wagay at the Nildang area of Batpora in Shopian district of south Kashmir.

They said that the incident happened during the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday.

Ghulam Hassan Wagay told The Kashmiriyat, “I woke up today (Tuesday) morning and as a matter of practice went to my shed to check on the apples. As soon as I went there, I saw that the gate of the shed had been damaged. I checked further to find out that nearly four hundred boxes of apple had been stolen.”

He said that he has filed a report at the concerned Police station and the Police personnel have promised him full help.
