5 Dead at Kabul International Airport after U.S. Military fired Gunshots

On Monday morning, as Afghan citizens flooded the Kabul International Airport, gunfire was reported to be heard from the airport premises.

Witnesses have reportedly said that the U.S. military opened fire upon the civilians at Kabul airport in order to peacefully execute the massive airlifting of their diplomats and officials from Kabul.

As per reports, 5 people have been killed by the gunfire at the passenger terminal of Kabul’s international airport.

Thousands of desperate citizens, trying to flee the country were seen clinging to the jet bridge of the plane in the videos that have gone viral, in the hope of getting into an evacuation flight.

After the US withdrew its troops after 20 years of war, the Afghan government collapsed resulting in the president Ghani fleeing the country.

Reports say that the firing happened when the U.S. military extended its footprint to the civilian terminal, where thousands of desperate Afghans are trying to evacuate from the country.
