
At least seven persons including five women were Monday evening referred to District Hospital (DH) Handwara for treatment after consuming forest herbs.
Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that seven individuals which include 5 women and 2 men were brought to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Kralpora this evening after developing some health complications.
“Soon after being brought to SDH Kralpora, they were attended by a team of senior doctors and other para-medical staff. They were given the required medical attention,” the official said, adding that all of them belong to Manzchatar Chowkibal in the Kupwara district.
The official also said that they had consumed some forest herbs following which they developed health-related complications.
They have been referred to District Hospital Handwara for further advanced treatment, the official added.
Earlier this month on 05 June, four members of a family were referred to Srinagar for treatment in Halmatpora village when they developed some health issues after consuming the forest herbs—(KNO)
