50 lives lost as Israel attacks mosque in Palestine

At least 50 individuals lost their lives, and numerous others sustained injuries as Israeli warplanes, in the midst of the regime’s genocidal war, targeted a mosque in the central Sabra neighborhood of the Gaza Strip during prayers, when the mosque was filled with worshipers, according to reports on Wednesday evening.

In another incident, an Israeli strike on telecommunications towers in Khan Yunis, located in the southern Gaza Strip, resulted in the tragic death of at least one child. Despite Israel’s encouragement for Palestinians to relocate from northern to southern Gaza for safety, Palestinians argue that nowhere is secure, as Israeli bombings persist everywhere.

Since October 7, when the regime initiated actions in the blockaded coastal territory, the toll stands at a staggering 11,500 Palestinians killed, including 4,710 children and 3,160 women, with around 32,000 others wounded.

Furthermore, on Wednesday, the head of the Orthopedic Department at al-Shifa, Gaza’s largest hospital, reported that Israeli forces had raided the facility, deploying bulldozers and tanks to invade and demolish parts of the premises. Ahmed al-Makhalati, head of the Burns Unit, disclosed that bulldozers had entered through the southern entrance, excavating sections of the facility and destroying vehicles.

The Gaza-based Palestinian Administration’s Information Office stated that occupation forces fired at anyone attempting to leave the hospital, dubbing the facility a “real graveyard.” Khaled Abu Samra, a doctor at the hospital, told Qatar’s Al Jazeera that the water reservoir had been depleted, refuting claims of Israeli army-provided medical aid and emphasizing the peril of navigating the Al-Shifa Complex.

The Israeli regime alleges that the hospital harbors a “command center” of Hamas, a charge vehemently denied by the Palestinian resistance group. In response, Hamas has urged the United Nations to establish an investigative team to debunk Tel Aviv’s allegations concerning the hospital.
