50 Trucks to fleet migratory tribal families from pastures in JK

In a significant development the Govt has decided to engage 50 trucks for transportation of livestock and families of migratory tribal population from highland pastures to several districts.

“On the above-captioned subject and reference, Sh. Zahir Abbas (9596996193), JKAS, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Banihal, is hereby appointed as Nodal Officer to deal with the plan of migration of migratory tribal families on retum migration from Highand Pastures (Dhoks) in District Ramban.” Reads an order, a copy of which lies with The Kashmiriyat.

It adds that the Nodal Officer shall be assisted by Sh. Samrinder Singh (9596978888), ARTO Ramban and Sh. Rajesh (7006114947) Manager, RTC, Ramban in smooth transportation of migratory tribal families.

Further, it is hereby ordered that there shall be no foot movement of nomadic livestocks on National Highway-44 within the jurisdiction of District Ramban, it States further.

The cell numbers of ARTO Ramban and Manager RTC, Ramban are hereby designated as Helpline Numbers for information of the public and grievance redressal, it reads.
