Police on Saturday, said they have recovered abducted from Rajouri and also have arrested the Kidnapper, officials said.
Police spokesperson said that an information addressed to all SHOs/DOs was received among others by SHO Police Station Chadoora district Budgam from District Police Rajouri to the effect that one lady namely Priyanka Devi wife of Kashmir Singh resident of Gadyoge Tehsil Khawas district Rajouri was reportedly kidnapped on 12, May by one Bachan Kumar son of Kewal Krishan resident of Gadyoge Tehsil Khawas Rajouri. In this regard a DD report was registered at Police Station Khawas district Rajouri.
The spokesperson further said that, “upon this information, search of missing lady & her abductor was taken up by Chadoora Police. During search, police station Chadoora received inputs regarding the presence of kidnapper Bachan Kumar alongwith the kidnapped lady in the area.”
Moreover, “Acting swiftly, the missing lady was recovered from Awanpora area of Chadoora and her abductor was arrested. Both were subsequently handed over to police team of district police Rajouri for further further course of action.”
