Admin Sacks Six Employees including Two Policemen for ‘Anti National Activities’ in Jammu Kashmir

The Jammu Kashmir administration has terminated six employees from Government Service in Jammu Kashmir for their alleged “militancy links and working as OGWs”.

Sources privy to the information told The Kashmiriyat that the sacked employees include Two Policemen, two teachers, one Junior assistant of Roads and Buildings, one Range officer of the Forest Department.

As per the source the six have been identified as Hamid Wani R/O Bijbehara, Anantnag ( Teacher), Jaffer Hussain Butt R/O Kishtwar (Constable), Mohd Rafi Butt R/O Kishtwar, (Junion Assistant) Road & Building Dept, Liyaqat Ali Kakroo R/O Baramulla (Teacher), Tariq Mehmood Kohli R/O Poonch (Range Officer) Forest Department and Showkat Ahmad Khan R/O Budgam (Constable).

The Jammu Kashmir administration headed by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha earlier this year announced the formation of a Special Task Force (STF) to bring under the scanner government employees allegedly involved in ‘anti-national’ activity, after which several employees, mostly teachers were terminated from their duties.

In July, the Administration terminated 11 employees in a day, which included two female teachers.

The first one to be terminated from his services was Idress Ahmed Jan posted in Government Middle School of Kralpora, Kupwara who was dismissed from his services in May 2021, days after the creation of Task force.

By April end, the Jammu Kashmir administration created STF (Special task Force) which will engage with members of the Terror Monitoring Group (TMG). The task force will scrutinize cases in a time-bound manner and will be serviced by the criminal investigation.
