After 3 decades large scale restoration of navigation channels at Dal Lake to begin tomorrow

For the first time in the last three decades, the Lakes Conservation and Management Authority (LCMA) is all set to begin a large restoration of navigation channels at the famous Dal Lake in Srinagar.

Talking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Vice Chairman of LC&MA Dr. Bashir Ahmad said that approximately 15 kilometers of navigation channels will be restored.

He said that the work for restoring the navigation channels will be started from tomorrow, saying that it has been for the first time in the last 20-30 years that the restoration at this scale would be done at Dal Lake.

VC LC&MA further stated that some work has been completed already while some work is to be started from tomorrow, adding that approximately 15 km navigation channels will be restored.

Asked about the completion of the work, he said that the work in this regard will be completed by the end of December—(KNO)
