After four years SC hears matter related to Article 370: Live updates

Nearly four years after the abrogation of the Article 370 and 35A, the supreme court of India is on Tuesday hearing the petitions challenging the abrogation of the articles that gave special status to the region.

The hearing has stormed a fresh debate over the abrogation with the regional parties from Kashmir and Jammu demanding that the both the Articles should be restored.

Three former Chief Ministers of Jammu Kashmir were included in thousands who were put under detention. A months’ long communication snap down was imposed in the region.
