China has been blocking Indian army patrols from patrolling points 10 to 13 in the Daulat Beg Oldi (DBO) area near the Line of Actual Control (LAC), Indian Military sources revealed.

After Ladakh’s Pangong Tso and Galwan river valley clashes, China has gone ahead to block Indian patrols in DBO sector.

The DBO sector is important with regards to representing the Indian presence on Aksai Chin, which otherwise is largely controlled by the Chinese.

Despite the two rounds of General-level talks where the two countries agreed to disengage further after the recent Galwan clashes, the Chinese have further bolstered their troops’ movement and construction activities.

Sources state that China has been using its road infrastructure to move heavy vehicles and artillery closer to the LAC.

There has been the presence of air defence gun batteries of long-range by China, which has been done in the response to the threat from Indian Air Force fighter aircraft operating in the area.

“In the DBO sector, the Chinese want to create troubles for us and have been blocking our patrols from going up to our patrolling points 10 to 13 in that area. These are adjoining the Galwan River Valley and are close to the Indian battalions in the DBO sector,” top sources from the Indian side told India today..

The top sources claim that the intent of the Chinese is now becoming clear as they want to take over areas near the Karakoram Pass and get depth for their highways which go towards Pakistan and Europe, through the Shenzhen region above the Indian territory.
