After revision of electoral rolls, elections will be definitely held in JK: LG Manoj Sinha

On Sunday, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that PM Modi and HM Amit Shah have made it clear in the Parliament that elections will be held in Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing a gather, LG Sinha said that the delimitation process had been completed, and now revision of electoral rolls is going on, following which elections will definitely be held in Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that it had been repeatedly said even on the floor of the parliament that elections will be held in Jammu and Kashmir.

Sinha further said that PM Modi and HM Amit Shah have also said in the parliament that first there will be a delimitation exercise, then elections, which will be followed by restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.

“Like ‘Sun rises in the East is a universal truth, same way whatever is said in the parliament is also true and there should be no doubt in it,” he added. (KNS)
