After Shopian, Kulgam, Now Kangan Family Claims Their Son was Among Five Killed in Bandipora

A family from Hayan Locality of Kangan in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal has on Tuesday that their son was killed in a gunfight that ended with the killing of five Militants in Bandipora.

Sources informed The Kashmiriyat that Ghulam Nabi Tedwa, a resident of Hayan in Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal has claimed that Parvaiz Ahmad Tedaw alias Abu Mayiwa was among the killed Militants in Bandipora gunfight on Friday last week.

The family has approached the Jammu Kashmir Police for help regarding the issue claiming that they identified Parvaiz through the photos of the five Slain Militants that had gone viral over social networking.

Earlier two families from Keller Shopian and Brazloo Kulgam have also made claims that two of the Militants among five were their kin.

Five Militants had been killed in a gunfight that raged in bandipora late Friday continued for two days, the Police buried them in a local graveyard claiming that the militants were foreigners.

However, on Monday, militant outfit Hizb ul-Mujahideen issued a statement and claimed that the militants killed in Bandipora gunfight were locals.

He identified them as Hyder Ali from Brazul Kulgam, Muhammad Umar from Shopian, Muhammad Sidiq from Bandipora, Mawiya from Kangan and Usman from Lolab.
