Authorities on Tuesday disallowed Eid congregation prayers at Eidgah in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Speaking to The Kashmiriyat members of the Jamia Masjid Committee Anantnag said that the authorities have not allowed Eid Prayers at Anantnag’s central Eidgah citing the law and order situation.
It is pertinent to mention that the Eid prayers were offered on Eid ul Adha in Eidgah after three years, however, protests were staged from the Eid Gah.
The Jamia Masjid committee has said that the Eid prayers will be offered at 8:30 A.M at Jamia Masjid.
Earlier, authorities had announced that eid prayers will not be allowed at Srinagar’s Central Eid Gah.
