Amid Snow, Police Renders Helping Hands to Needy in Handwara, Evacuates Patients to Hospital in Kulgam

The Jammu Kashmir Police said it rendered a helping hand to the needy in Handwara and evacuated ailing patients to the hospital in Kulgam during inclement weather.

In a statement, the police said, “In Handwara, Police provided helping hand to people who got stranded on roads while traveling due to inclement weather at Watayeen, Chogal, Langate, Vilgam and Qalamabad. Special Police Assistance Teams have also been deployed at various locations especially on Highway for providing assistance to the vehicles stuck on the slippery roads.”

The Police said, Besides, Handwara Police has already established helpline numbers operative round the clock for any assistance to needy.

In Kulgam, Police received a distress call that a patient from village Sangran is suffering from Kidney problem and needs immediate medical attention as the patient has developed irresistible pain.

Acting swiftly, a police party from Police Station Qazigund headed by SHO PS Qazigund under the supervision of SDPO Qazigund Shri Mohd Shafiq-JKPS rushed to the spot and evacuated the patient to Emergency Hospital Qazigund for medical treatment in an official police vehicle.

Locals of the area have applauded the efforts of Police for the prompt response and timely assistance of the needy.
