Another Hike, Petrol price crosses ₹105 a litre in Srinagar

As the elections in four states concluded the fuel prices have soared across India, with petrol prices crossing the 100 rupee mark in New Delhi.

On Tuesday, India registered the seventh hike in fuel prices in eight days. The petrol prices were hiked by 80 Paise per litre taking the total hike in the past eight days to Rs 4.80.

On March 21, the petrol prices in Srinagar stood at 100.36 and on 29 March, the petrol prices have climbed to ₹105.24 a litre.

Diesel in Srinagar is being sold at ₹88.60 a litre causing anguish among the transporters who are already planning a strike on March 30 to press for various demands.
