A 28 year old man was killed when snow Avalanche hit him in Mati Jungle in Kokernag area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad (anantnag) district on Friday afternoon.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Bashir Ahmed Awam Son of Abdul Karim Awam resident of Bidihard, Larnoo area of Kokernag in Islamabad (Anantnag) had gone into jungle for collecting timber when an avalnche hit the area.
His body was rescued hours later by locals.

The Deputy commissioner of Islamabad (anantnag) Mohd Younus Mallik speaking to The Kashmiriyat confirmed that his body has been recovered and handed over to his legal heirs.
