Armed with knives, unknown persons entered a residential house in the Imam Sahib area of Shopian and decamped with gold and other valuable possessions.
Speaking to The Kashmiriyat Shaheena wife of Nisar Ahmed, a resident of Arakhera Imam Sahib said that on Monday morning a person followed Shaheena when she was returning to her home.
“The person followed me to the stairs and then asked me to handover my golden earrings. I initially refused doing so. But then he got out a knife and also asked me to handover the ring in my fingers,” Shaheena said.
The person also decamped with cash of rupees three thousand rupees approximately and threatened Shaheena to keep mum.
A team of local police station has reached the spot and are investigating the matter.
