Army Organizes Free Medical Camp in Sopore Kashmir

Sopore Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under the aegis of Watlab Sector Rashtriya Rifles organised a Medical Camp under Operation Sadbhavana on 07 March 2021 at Government Middle School, Zalurah, Sopore, Baramulla.

In  a press release issued to The Kashmiriyat, indian Army said, The aim of the Medical Camp was to provide free Medical Consultation, Treatment for Minor Ailments, Medicines and COVID-19 Essential Kits to the local residents who are devoid of basic Medical facilities.

The Doctors and Paramedics from Army and Civil Administration addressed the medical issues of the destitute and nearly 520 locals including 120 children, 180 females and 220 males got benefitted from the camp.

The opportunity was also utilized by Army Doctors to educate the masses about the prevention of communicable and skin diseases along with other lifestyle diseases affecting them. It was indeed a notable action to reach out to the underprivileged locals with a noble cause to provide them with basic Medical facilities.

The villagers expressed profound gratitude for undertaking such an initiative and appreciated the relentless efforts of the Indian Army towards mitigating hardships faced by them especially amid the tough times due to the prevailing pandemic.
