The baby of a pregnant woman (name withheld) from Chichilora village of Kunzar in Kashmir’s Baramulla district, died inside her womb after she was allegedly, denied medical treatment by doctors at Government medical College Baramulla on the pretext of awaited second test report taken for covid19.
Speaking to The Kashmiriyat a family member of the pregnant lady alleged she was denied treatment by the doctors inside the hospital, despite her sample for Covid-19 being taken before Eid, which was reported negative.
Despite this fact, the doctors at GMC Baramulla allegedly refused to give her medical treatment as the result of second sample for Covid-19 is awaited despite the maternal period of lady is already over. The family member of the admitted lady said that during routine checkup before Eid she was tested for Covid-19 too, that was reported negative.
But another lady from Srinagar in that group of 11 was tested positive and the pregnant woman from Chichilora, was shifted to quarantine centre at Kunzer Dhobiwan for precaution, he said.
