Be Ready To Get JK As State, Won’t Take Long To Restore Statehood: Amit Shah

The Union Home Minister Amit Shah in an interview to News channel CNN made it clear that, the Government will not take long to restore Statehood to Jammu Kashmir, but Article 370 will not be revocated.

Shah said in an interview to CNN News that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has committed Statehood to Jammu Kashmir. I have also stated this on floor of Parliament and we won’t go back from our promise & won’t take too long.

Shah pointed out that there will be a wave of development in next 5-6 months as Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha is taking development to grass-root level.

This comes amid a time when the politics in Kashmir is taking a new shape, as the regional groups under the banner of people’s alliance gear up for a fight demanding the restoration of Articles 370 and 35(a).

In Jammu, the Bharatiya Janata Party has gathered against these parties and in a continuation of their rhetoric said that they will not allow anti National elements to ‘succeed’.

The special status of Jammu Kashmir was abrogated on 5th of August 2019 and Jammu Kashmir was demoted into two Union Territories, Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh.

Thousands of people were detained and hundreds shifted to jails outside Jammu Kashmir, three former chief Ministers were booked under the draconian publiv Safety Act.
