Baldev Raj Sharma, a Bhartiya Janta Party leader and former MLA Baldev Raj Sharma sparked a fresh controversy as he referred to the recent targetted civilian killings in Kashmir as “minor” incidents.

Baldev was speaking at a press conference, Baldev said only “Chitput” (very small) incidents were happening in the Kashmir valley and BJP has been able to restore “normalcy” in the region. The BJP leader said that the attacks were examples of ‘small’ incidents.

“In Kashmir, The situation was tragic before the abrogation of Article 370. But peace has been brought to Jammu Kashmir by BJP. Only Chitput incidents are happening now since militants are not using big guns,” the BJP leader said.
