Tejasvi Surya, the current Member of Parliament for Bengaluru has declared total assets worth ₹4.10 crore.
This represents a remarkable surge of 3150% from the ₹13 lakh he reported during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
On the final day for filing nominations for the initial phase of polls in the state, Surya, know for his remarks against Muslims, submitted his nomination papers for the upcoming general elections.
The controversial MP’s assets include investments of ₹1.99 crore in mutual funds and over ₹1.79 crore in shares.
An alleged increase of a WHOPPING 3150% in assets of an MP in 5 years would be straight up grounds for an investigation by agencies.
From ₹ 13 lacs to ₹ 4.1 crores.
In just 5 years. But not if you’re a BJP MP when Central Agencies work as extended wings of the ruling party. pic.twitter.com/Tz5EMH1Fkg
