A sarpanch was dead by suspected militants gunmen in the Goushbugh area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that suspected militants on Friday evening fired upon a sarpanch in the Goushbugh Pattan, causing injuries to him.
The Sarpanch identified Manzoor Ahmad Bangroo associated with the Bhartiya Janta Party, a resident of Pattan was rushed to the nearby hospital for treatment.
He succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.
