On Friday, the rescue operation continued for the 5th consecutive day to successfully fish out the body of a Srinagar youth who had jumped into the river Jehlum on 31 May.
As reported earlier, a youth after alighting from his cycle at Cement Bridge Qamarwari jumped into the river Jehlum.
Later on, he was identified as 22 years old Musadiq Maqsood Dar, a resident of New Colony Palpora, Srinagar.
Meanwhile, the rescuers had been trying hard to fish out his body and today, early in the morning some boatmen who were extracting sand from river Jhelum saw the dead body near the Maloora area in Srinagar and informed the police.
When The Kashmiriyat contacted the concerned police officials, they confirmed that the body has been found.
