#BoycottKapilSharmashow trends on Twitter after Director of ‘The Kashmir files’ says ‘Not invited to the show’

Kapil Sharma- Comedian turned actor and his popular Television show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ has landed in a controversy after several users vouched for a boycott of te show.

The trend gained an evening trend on Twitter late Monday that came after filmmaker Agnihotri tweeted that makers of the show refused to promote his upcoming film – ‘The Kashmir Files’.

The hashtag #BoycottKapilSharmaShow trended after a fan recently asked the filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri was recently requested by a fan on Twitter to promote his upcoming film ‘The Kashmir Files’ on The Kapil Sharma Show.

The filmmaker who is seen as a close aide of the Bhartiya Janta Party responding to the user’s tweet, said, “I don’t get to decide who should be invited on @KapilSharmaK9 show. It’s his and his producer’s choice whom he wants to invite. As far as Bollywood is concerned, I’d say what once Mr. Bachchan was quoted saying about Gandhis: Vo raja hai hum rank.”

In another previous tweet, Vivek Agnihotri even claimed that the show refused to promote his film because it didn’t have a ‘commercial star’ in its starcast. “They refused to call us on their show because we don’t have big commercial star. #FACT,”

As soon as Vivek’s tweet went viral, netizens demanded the ‘boycott of Kapil Sharma’. The comedian is getting slammed by internet users on social media for being biased towards big Bollywood stars.
