The Government Forces on Wednesday morning launched Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in the Watoo area of the Shopian district of South Kashmir.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that a search operation has been launched jointly by forces including RR of the Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police, and CRPF in Watoo area of Shopian.
All the entry and exit points of the area have been sealed on Wednesday morning, and a door-to-door search operation has begun, Locals told The Kashmiriyat.
Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched as an Anti Militancy operation on May 2, 2017, amid a rise in the local recruitment into Militant groups in the Kashmir valley.
The Forces jointly conduct search operations in a specific area, locking down the area virtually and frisk houses.
